My name is Josh Pritchard, the roastmaster here at Refuge Coffee.

Refuge Coffee Roasters is a family-owned and operated company proudly roasting small batches of artisan coffees from Shawnee, Kansas.

We believe that:

• Extracting the sweetest flavors from fine coffee beans is both an art and a science.
• Pulling the deepest, richest flavors out of life is also both an art and a science.

In our modern, fast-paced society ruled by technology and efficiency, it is easy for us to lose touch with our humanity and to miss savoring the deepest flavors of life.

We all need a refuge.

A refuge is a safe place. A peaceful place. A place of quiet, beauty, renewal and rest.

My family and I have had extraordinary opportunities to both visit and live in some of the most beautiful and hidden places in the world.

What we have discovered through our adventures is that true refuge isn’t a place, but a Person. The beautiful spaces in life are empty without God there to give them meaning. We have also learned that true refuge doesn’t have to be a once-in-a-blue-moon experience; it can be a way of being. A way of life.

We want Refuge Coffee to be a place where we pass this on.
